Band: The Black
This band was started by a drummer called Make Pesonen, who lived in Eskilstuna, Sweden. He called imself "The Black", and wanted to start a band under that name too. He asked his friends "Leviathan" and "Black Demon" to play bass respectivly guitar on the recording of a demo called "The Black". But he also needed a vocalist, so he asked Jon Nödtveidt if he could do it for him, and he did, under the alias "Rietas". The demo was recorded in October 1992, and released shortly after. But then Black Demon left the band, and they were one man short. But Jon took over that duty too, as well as some keyboardplaying, for the recording of the full lenght album "The Priest Of Satan" (Necropolis Records, 1993). After the release, the band was put to rest, but all old demo songs later appeared on the rerelease on CD called "Black Blood" (Necropolis Records, 1996). Some think that "The Black" actually was Ole Öhman, but this is not true.
